The New World Dorado cigar is a unique blend that can be considered an “estate cigar” as it is made with tobacco from a single plot of land, the Dorado farm in Estelí, Nicaragua. This farm is owned by A.J. Fernandez, the same individual behind the creation of the New World Dorado cigar. The blend for this cigar is made up of a sun-grown, Cuban-seed wrapper and Criollo ’98 binder, both grown on the Dorado farm. While there is some filler tobacco from two other fields, the majority of the blend is from the Dorado farm. This plantation is relatively new, only five years old, but the tobacco from its first harvest has already proven to be of high quality. When smoking the New World Dorado, expect to experience rich flavors of caramel, orange peel, nuts, and espresso. The cigar is a true representation of the unique terroir of the Dorado farm and the skill of A.J. Fernandez as a cigar maker.
